SIA Licence courses at Safehouse Training
As of September 2005 all door supervisors are required to carry a current SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence, to register for this licence you need a BIIAB National Certificate for Door Supervisors.

This 30 hour course consists of two modules:
This covers: 15 Hours
- Appropriate behaviour for Door Supervisors
- Civil and Criminal Law
- Searching and Arrest Procedures
- Drug Awareness
- Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Presentation
- Licensing Law
- Equal Opportunities and Discrimination
- Health and Safety at work
- Emergency Procedures
This covers: 15 hours
- How to refuse entry and how to eject in a way that reduces risk of conflict
- Identify the types of incidents that could happen inside a venue and how to deal with them
- Understand the law about arrest
NATIONAL CERTIFICATE FOR PERSONAL LICENCE HOLDERS LEVEL 2
Safehouse Training can offer a full package, which includes your training and the processing of your application for you. Training can be done in one day and on the same day a short multiple-choice exam is taken. As of August 2008, we can offer E-learning and assessment to suit the individual;s own flexibility.
Holders of an SIA approved Door Supervisor qualification are also eligible to work as security operators without having to undertake the Security Operators training programme.
